According to a Reuters report, authorities in the US state of Indiana have announced that at least six people, including a four-year-old child, have died following severe storms and flooding since Tuesday.
The Indiana Emergency Operations Center said the victims included three women and two men; two deaths were reported in Delaware County and one each in Jennings, Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties.
Mike Brown of Valley, Indiana, has said that Donald Trump will grant the state’s request to declare a state of emergency, paving the way for federal aid.
The storms left nearly a million customers without power in the states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky at one point.
