Washington state officials announced that at least 60,000 people have fled their homes and hundreds of buildings have been destroyed by three large fires in Spokane County.
According to local officials, these fires have burned more than seven thousand hectares since Saturday and no part of them has yet been contained. Despite the extensive damage, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.
Officials have also warned that Washington state is facing its most severe fire season in more than 30 years.
