Yemeni armed forces announce maritime traffic ban for Saudi Arabia
The Yemeni Armed Forces issued a statement announcing that maritime traffic for Saudi Arabia has been prohibited since the publication of this statement, and this decision will be implemented based on the principle of “blockade against blockade.”
The statement states that over the past 12 years, Saudi Arabia has imposed widespread pressure on the Yemeni people by imposing a land, sea, and air blockade, closing ports and airports, and restricting the entry of goods.
The Yemeni armed forces have considered this siege to lack legal and humanitarian legitimacy and emphasized that the Yemeni people have the right to respond to it with all available means.
The statement further emphasized that from now on, a maritime shipping ban against Saudi Arabia will be implemented, and any escalation of tensions or military action by Riyadh will be met with a strong and widespread response.
The Yemeni armed forces have also called on the country’s citizens to maintain their readiness, support the fronts, and be prepared for various scenarios. The forces have also appreciated the large participation of the people in recent demonstrations.
