Three International Criminal Court judges file complaint against Donald Trump

Three judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) have filed a complaint against US President Donald Trump, accusing him of exceeding his legal authority in imposing sanctions on officials of the court for investigating cases related to Afghanistan and Palestine.

According to the complaint, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Kimberly Prost of Canada, Solomi Bosa of Uganda, and Ryan Alapini Gansu of Benin are challenging the executive order issued by Trump in February 2025.

These judges believe that the sanctions imposed against officials of the International Criminal Court exceed the limits of the legal authority of the US President and threaten the independence of this international judicial institution.
