Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah, announced that the country is at its most sensitive stage and is facing the most dangerous joint plan by the US and the Israeli regime to weaken and eliminate the resistance.
He emphasized that Hezbollah is committed to defending Lebanon and that the movement’s weapons are only used against the enemy. According to him, the enemies’ main goal is to end the resistance project and turn Lebanon’s political sovereignty into a tool against the resistance.
The Hezbollah Secretary General added that the plan to destroy Hezbollah and consolidate the occupation has failed, and the Israeli regime will eventually withdraw from all occupied areas of Lebanon. He also stated that there will be no return to the conditions before March 2nd.
Referring to developments in the region, Sheikh Naim Qassem said that efforts to drag Syria into war and create Sunni and Shiite sedition in Lebanon have failed, and all Lebanese parties have acted wisely in this regard.
He also stated that Hezbollah has carried out extensive reforms in the field of command, organization and equipment over the past 15 months and has “surprises” for the enemy.
