News sources have reported that Russia used a new weapon called the “Banduril” (S8000) in an attack on Kiev on the night of June 16. The system, according to these sources, combines the features of a cruise missile and a suicide drone.
According to this report, this weapon has a range of up to 500 kilometers, a speed of about 500 kilometers per hour, a warhead of up to 150 kilograms, and is more maneuverable than some Russian cruise missiles.
It has also been claimed that this type of weapon is more difficult to intercept than conventional cruise missiles due to its higher speed and ability to change course.
