Italy :Arrests Suspects in Burning Three Afghan Refugees and a Pakistani Citizen Alive
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloni, in response to the burning alive of three Afghan refugees and a Pakistani citizen in the south of the country, called the incident a “horrific crime” and emphasized that the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
According to Italian authorities, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the case; the victims were four migrant workers working in the agricultural sector who died in the town of Amendolara.
Reports indicate that the accused set fire to the vehicle carrying the workers after a dispute over working conditions and wages. Investigations are ongoing to clarify all aspects of the incident.
