The US House of Representatives has approved a bill for the first time that limits Donald Trump’s war powers against Iran.
The bill passed the Republican-controlled House by a vote of 215 to 208.
According to this resolution, the US President is asked to end the war with Iran and that any military action in this regard be subject to the oversight and legal authority of Congress.
This action comes at a time when tensions between Tehran and Washington remain at the center of attention in political and international circles.
