Lavrov: Renewed conflict in the Persian Gulf will have negative consequences for the world

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has announced that Moscow is firmly opposed to repeated military aggression against Iran.

He emphasized that Russia supports all mediation efforts to resolve the situation around Iran through political and diplomatic means.

Lavrov warned that the resumption of conflict in the Persian Gulf region would have negative consequences for the global economy and international stability.

The Russian Foreign Minister also said that direct and constructive dialogue between Arab countries and Iran is essential to ensure stability and predictability in the Middle East.

In another part of his speech, he accused the West of trying to impose its desired order and said that Western countries continue to pursue the policy of NATO expansion eastward.
