Pentagon: Cost of US war in Iran has reached $29 billion
The United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) has announced that the cost of the country’s war in Iran has reached $29 billion so far.
According to Reuters, the figures were presented on Tuesday by Pentagon Finance Director Jules Hurst at a congressional hearing.
He said that these costs include operational costs for repairing and replacing military equipment, and the process of reviewing and updating these figures is ongoing.
Based on published information, the Pentagon had previously announced on April 29 that the cost of this war was $25 billion, which has now increased by $4 billion.
However, the exact details of how these costs are calculated have not yet been officially clarified.
