US military launches deadly attack on boat in Pacific Ocean

The US military has announced that two people were killed and only one survived in its latest attack on a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

The US Southern Command released a video claiming that the vessel was traveling on a known drug smuggling route and was participating in drug smuggling operations.

According to reports, the death toll from US attacks on suspected drug-smuggling boats in the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean has reached more than 190 since September last year.

These operations are part of the Donald Trump administration’s campaign against what is called “narcoterrorism.”

However, human rights groups and some international law experts have described the attacks as “extrajudicial executions” and said that Washington has so far not provided clear evidence linking many of the targeted vessels to drug trafficking.
