Dozens of Afghan migrants reportedly being evacuated from Tajikistan’s Sogd province

Tajik media reported that 200 to 250 Afghan migrants had been evacuated from their homes in the country’s Sogd province and taken to an unknown location.

According to these reports, this action was taken after the arrest of an Afghan citizen in Khujand province on charges of murdering a woman.

Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan have not commented on the matter.

Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports indicate that these people have been returned to Afghanistan.
