Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi emphasized that the American side has sent various messages through friendly countries in the past few days, but this exchange of messages cannot be called negotiation or dialogue.
He added: “We have only announced our warnings and positions in response to messages. This exchange of messages sometimes has the aspect of a warning, such as the warning about the US’s 48-hour deadline.”
Araqchi: He said that many foreign ministers in the region have contacted Tehran, but Iran’s position has been principled and firm. No negotiations have been held so far, and a ceasefire without guarantees will only be a vicious cycle for the repetition of war.
Referring to the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that the Strait of Hormuz is not completely closed in our opinion, but rather closed to enemies. Countries that have not participated in the war against Iran can pass through this strait with Iran’s coordination. In recent days, ships from China, Pakistan, Iraq, Russia, India, and some other countries have passed through.
Araqchi emphasized that the enemy must learn a lesson that it will never want to attack again and that the damages caused to the Iranian people must be compensated. Israel is the main driver of this war and has led America towards it. America’s priority is Israel’s security and it is willing to sacrifice everything for it.
