Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce calls for immediate release of over 10,000 detained containers

The Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry has asked the authorities of the two countries to allow the simultaneous release of more than 10,000 containers stuck on trade routes between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to Pakistani media reports, these containers have been stuck at border ports for more than 100 days due to the suspension of trade and are unable to pass through.

The Joint Chamber of Commerce emphasized that the continuation of this situation has already caused millions of dollars in damage to the business communities and merchants of both countries and has severely disrupted economic activities.

This request comes at a time when problems at border ports continue to be the main obstacle to bilateral trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan, and economic activists are calling for an immediate solution to this crisis.
