Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, announced that Moscow is ready to provide mediation services between the United States and Iran, but so far no request has been made by the parties to do so.
He stated in a statement: “We are always ready to provide mediation services if requested by either side, but this has not happened yet.”
Ulyanov added that the lack of progress in bilateral negotiations is largely due to the US’s very strict negotiating approaches, which seem more like ultimatums than constructive dialogue.
These statements come as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue and diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions have not yet yielded the desired results
