Reuters Russia deploys hypersonic nuclear missiles in eastern Belarus
Reuters news agency, citing its sources, claimed that Russia may be deploying new hypersonic ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads at a former air base in eastern Belarus.
This move could significantly strengthen Moscow’s ability to strike targets across Europe and expand the scope of Russia’s nuclear threats.
The base in question is located in the Mogilev region of Belarus and was previously used as a military air base.
The deployment of these missiles is part of Russia’s strengthening of its military presence in Belarus after the start of the Ukraine war, and so far, Russian and Belarusian officials have not responded to this report
