Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said that Pakistani forces carried out airstrikes on the border areas of the country around 12 pm on Monday.
In the Gurbaz district of Khost province, in the Mughalghi area, the house of a local resident named Waliat Khan, son of Qazi (Mir), was targeted by an airstrike, resulting in the deaths of nine (9) children (5 boys and 4 girls) along with a woman, and the house was completely destroyed.
The Islamic Emirate spokesman added that similar airstrikes were carried out in Kunar and Paktika provinces, resulting in the injury of four other civilians.
Local authorities have confirmed that investigation teams have been dispatched to the scene of the incidents and full details will be announced once the investigation is complete.
