Pakistani ceasefire violation kills 11 civilians in Spin Boldak
Local officials in Kandahar’s Spin Boldak district said Pakistani military forces targeted civilian and residential facilities in the area late Thursday with artillery and rocket attacks, killing and wounding at least 11 civilians, including women and children.
Ali Mohammad Haqmal, the intelligence chief of Spin Boldak district, said Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire and attacked civilians without any reason, while the Islamic Emirate forces adhered to the ceasefire and did not respond.
Hayatullah, 35, who lost his mother in the attack and whose one-year-old daughter was injured, spoke of the depth of the tragedy.
Local officials added that in addition to residential homes, a commercial center was also targeted by rocket attacks, causing heavy damage.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministries of Qatar and Türkiye emphasized in a statement after the second round of talks that the offending party must be punished
