433 Afghan migrants released from Pakistani and Iraqi prisons

The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates of the Islamic Emirate announced that 433 Afghan refugees held in Pakistani and Iraqi prisons were released and returned to the country this week.

According to the transfer directorates of the refugee affairs departments in Kandahar and Nimroz provinces, 430 of these people entered the country through Spin Boldak port after spending two months in Pakistan.

Three other people who had spent six months in Iraqi prisons also returned home via Nimroz.

After registering with the Spin Boldak and Nimroz relocation departments, these migrants received the necessary assistance from the partner institutions of the Ministry of Refugees Affairs and were transferred to their original areas.

Officials from the Ministry of Refugees have announced ongoing efforts to release and return Afghan refugees from neighboring countries and have emphasized that such programs will continue.
