Putin and Rahmon’s meeting in Dushanbe strengthens Russia-Tajik relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe.

During the meeting, Putin stated that relations between the two countries are developing positively in all areas and that defense and security cooperation continues continuously.

He described Tajikistan as a reliable ally for Russia and emphasized the value of this alliance for Moscow.

Emomali Rahmon also called Russia Tajikistan’s main political and economic partner and reported on the growth of economic relations and an increase in bilateral trade turnover.

He expressed hope that the talks between the delegations of the two countries during this visit will be an incentive for further development of bilateral relations.
