The mourning of the Bani Amer group in Benn ul Haramin

The Bani Amer group is one of the famous groups in Iraq that, during Arbaeen, wear white clothes and march between the two holy mosques, chanting the word “labbayk” (prayer) and heading towards the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS).

In this mourning group, thousands of Husseini pilgrims sing praises in Arabic, and the enthusiasm of this group is so high that it brings many pilgrims of different colors and ethnicities with it.

The Bani Amer group travels from Basra to the city of Karbala and mourns Arbaeen with special order and splendor, wearing white clothes.

This group of Bani Amer processions begins its journey in Basra and heads to Karbala on the day of Arbaeen, where in recent years the number of mourners in this group has reached more than 50,000.
