In a conference held at the Cairo International Book Fair, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati emphasized that the Palestinian issue is one of the principles of the country’s foreign policy, and without a just solution to it, peace and tranquility will not be established in any country in the region.
Abdul Ati stated that the Palestinian issue is related to Egypt’s national security and Egypt has been paying attention to it since its establishment in order to achieve a fair and comprehensive solution for it.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister further emphasized that it must be guaranteed that this solution preserves the right of the Palestinians to form their own independent state throughout their land.
He said that the main source of conflict and tension in this region is the Palestinian issue and the lack of a political solution and horizon for it until today.
According to the newspaper “Al-Yum Al-Saviim”, published in Egypt, Abdel Ati also emphasized that without the political process, the cycle of violence will never stop. This cycle must be broken and the political horizon and road map that will lead to the formation of the Palestinian state must be guaranteed, because without it, the region will never be Stability and peace will not be enjoyed.
