A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted to Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia after sending several emergency codes during the flight. Flydubai confirmed that there was an “incident” during the flight and said that all passengers and crew were safe.
According to Flight Radar 24, the plane first sent emergency code 7700 and then code 7500; following this situation, Israeli Air Force fighter jets also flew to check on the plane’s condition.
Reuters news agency reported, citing an Israeli official, that the incident occurred following a physical altercation between the pilots, and the plane landed in Tabuk after changing course.
Some Israeli media outlets have published more details about the fight in the cabin, including the use of a knife and an attempt to seize control of the plane.
