Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly that his country has opposed what he called wars of aggression over the past eight years, including in Ukraine, Lebanon, and Iran.
Without directly referring to the United States and Israel, Sanchez criticized the policies of some governments towards multilateral institutions and called for the defense of the principles and goals of the United Nations; he also emphasized the reform of the organization’s Security Council.
The Spanish Prime Minister said his country has imposed an arms embargo on the Israeli regime and has banned the use of Spanish territory for what he called “illegal aggression against Iran.”
In another part of his speech, Sanchez referred to the situation in Gaza and said: “Netanyahu continues to commit mass murder in Gaza.”
