In a speech to Republican Party supporters in North Carolina, US President Donald Trump once again claimed that the war with Iran will end soon and that the United States can reach an agreement with Tehran whenever it wants.
Trump, repeating his claim about preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, said that Iran does not have the capacity to continue the war and that a deal with Tehran may be reached before the election or shortly after.
He also claimed that the United States had imposed an unprecedented blockade on Iran and that large parts of the country and its navy had been damaged during the war.
Trump, without providing further details, described the end of the war as “good” and said, “Just watch what happens to Iran.”
