Airstrike on Al-Jawf Central Prison Martyred at Least 6 People, Including a Child
According to reports, Saudi warplanes, continuing their attacks on Yemen, have targeted the central prison in Al-Hazm district, the center of Al-Jawf province; prisoners and civilians were also present in the center.
The Yemeni Ministry of Justice and Human Rights has called the targeting of the prison and prisoners an attack on a completely civilian target and a “war crime.”
The director of Al-Jawf Central Prison said that dozens of people were trapped under the rubble after the bombing. So far, the body of a child and two injured people have been pulled from the rubble, and 35 prisoners and a woman who had gone to the prison to visit her husband are still trapped under the rubble.
Saba News Agency reported that the attack on Al-Jawf prison has so far resulted in the deaths of five citizens, including a child. A Yemeni citizen was also martyred in the village of Al-Hakima in Taiz province due to sniper fire.
