US special envoy Steve Whitaker and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow on Saturday to discuss Washington’s new plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war with Russian officials.
According to Reuters, the two American officials met with Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president’s special envoy, upon arriving in Moscow. The talks are expected to focus on reviving the peace process and examining Washington’s proposed plan.
The trip comes as peace talks between Russia and Ukraine face a stalemate and Washington is trying to reactivate the diplomatic process to end the war.
