The New York Times, in a report on Tuesday night’s airstrike on a residential area in the city of Kohstak in the Sirik district of Iran, wrote that, based on visual analysis and an examination by a weapons expert, the remains of the bombs used were American-made.
The newspaper examined the remains of weapons found at the site with Trevor Ball, a former US Army ordnance disposal expert, and he identified the remains as belonging to a guided bomb used by US forces.
Independent reports also reported that an American missile hit a building in Kohstak where a wedding ceremony was being held, killing and wounding dozens of civilians.
