Tourist helicopter crash in Kenya kills 7

Seven people, including five American citizens and the head of Ecuador’s intelligence service, were killed when a tourist helicopter crashed in the Samburu region of northern Kenya.

Ecuador’s intelligence chief, Michel Sensi Contogui, and his wife, Stephanie Hallihan, a US citizen, were killed in the incident.

The helicopter was en route to a wildlife sanctuary in northern Kenya when it crashed. The cause of the incident is not yet known.

The Kenya Red Cross said that the search and recovery operation was being hampered by difficult terrain and a fire at the crash site.
