Scientists using the James Webb Telescope have announced the possibility of a new type of cosmic object

Astronomers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have identified an unknown object in the early universe, called a “black hole star,” by analyzing data from the James Webb Space Telescope.

This object looks like a giant star the size of our solar system, but the amount of energy it emits is similar to the behavior of active black holes.

Researchers say this object can produce about 100 billion times more energy than the physical power of a typical star; they suggest that an active black hole at its center with a mass of about 100,000 times that of the Sun is responsible for this amount of energy.

Scientists say further study of this object could help better understand how supermassive black holes and cosmic structures formed in the early universe
