The Indian government has reiterated its long-standing ties with Afghanistan and its people, saying New Delhi is working to expand cooperation with Afghanistan in various fields.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said that in the past year, and especially in recent months, visits and visits by Afghan officials to India have increased, and these interactions have helped strengthen cooperation in the sectors of development, trade, and regional connectivity.
“We have long-standing ties with Afghanistan and the Afghan people and we hope to strengthen these ties further,” Jaiswal said.
According to reports, the Afghan embassy in New Delhi is scheduled to hold a ceremony to mark the fifth anniversary of the Islamic Emirate’s return to power, but the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not confirmed the presence of an official from that country at the ceremony.
India has said that it will continue to strengthen cooperation with Afghanistan in the areas of trade development and regional connectivity. In the past year, a number of officials from the Islamic Emirate have also visited India.
