Washington Post: A quarter of US MQ-9 drones lost in war with Iran

The Washington Post newspaper, citing American officials, reported that the country’s military lost at least 45 MQ-9 Reaper drones during the war with Iran, a figure that constitutes about a quarter of the drone fleet.

Based on this report, the value of the lost drones is estimated at more than $1.3 billion, considering the cost of each drone, which is estimated to be between $30 and $50 million.

The MQ-9 Reaper is one of the US military’s most important reconnaissance and attack drones, used for surveillance and precision strikes.
