Trump: White House spokesman to step down at end of month
US President Donald Trump announced that White House press secretary Carolyn Leavitt will resign at the end of this month.
Trump has said that after stepping down, Leavitt will work outside the administration as one of his senior advisers and will also play an influential role in the Republican Party.
According to a Reuters report, Leavitt joined Trump’s 2024 campaign and was then appointed as a spokesperson for the transition team and later as a White House spokesman.
With this appointment, Leavitt became the youngest White House spokesman in the country’s history.
