The head of the World Health Organization warned during a visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo that the Ebola disease is spreading at an unprecedented rate and that its spread is outpacing efforts to contain the disease.
He announced that the disease has so far claimed the lives of more than 1,700 people and stressed the need to strengthen urgent measures to contain the outbreak and provide more support to the international community.
