Amnesty International has called on the Pakistani government to provide former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi with the right to meet with family members and lawyers, as well as access to healthcare.
On the occasion of the third anniversary of Imran Khan’s arrest, the organization announced that he was deprived of a fair trial, proper health care, and family visits during this period, and was held in solitary confinement for a long time.
Amnesty International also called on Pakistani authorities to guarantee the right of Imran Khan’s supporters to hold peaceful protests and to refrain from violent confrontations and arbitrary actions against protesters.
