The Yemeni armed forces announced that they had targeted and shot down a Turkish-made “Bairaqdar Akenci” reconnaissance and armed drone belonging to Saudi Arabia that was operating in the skies of Al-Jawf Province.
The Yemeni armed forces statement stated that the drone was shot down using appropriate weapons and that this action was taken within the framework of defending Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Yemeni armed forces also emphasized that they will deal decisively with any attempt to violate the country’s airspace and that they have the necessary readiness and capability to confront threats.
