Yemeni armed forces announced that they had targeted two Saudi oil tankers, named “LAYLA” and “ENCELIA”, in a military operation for violating the ban on navigation in the Red Sea.
Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, said that the operation was carried out using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, and that both tankers caught fire after being hit. According to him, at the same time, nearly 10 ships also abandoned their routes and returned.
The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces emphasized that naval operations against Saudi Arabia will continue until the “siege against siege” equation is achieved, and warned that any military action by Saudi Arabia will be met with a massive response deep within the country’s territory.
Meanwhile, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) confirmed that a ship belonging to the country was attacked in the Red Sea. The media outlet reported that a fire broke out in the forward section of the ship, but the incident did not cause any casualties or injuries.
