Rabab Fatima appointed as UNAMA head and UN Special Representative for Afghanistan

A source has confirmed to the media that the UN Secretary-General, Rubab Fatemeh,

The United Nations has appointed a Bangladeshi diplomat as the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and the organization’s special representative for Afghanistan.

Rabab Fatemeh has previously worked in various parts of the United Nations, including in management positions at UNICEF.
