Egypt, Argentina and Colombia advance to the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup

The national teams of Egypt, Argentina, and Colombia qualified for the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup by defeating their opponents.

In one of the matches, the Egyptian national team, after a 1-1 draw with Australia in regulation and extra time, won 4-2 on penalties and advanced to the next stage.

The Argentine national team also defeated Cape Verde 3-2 in an exciting match and advanced to the round of 16; Lionel Messi scored one of Argentina’s goals in the match.

In the other match, the Colombian national team defeated Ghana with a single goal from John Arias and qualified for the next round of the competition.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
