Finalists of the 2026 International Astrophotography Competition Announced

The Royal Observatory Greenwich has announced the shortlist of the 18th ZWO International Astrophotography Competition, which saw nearly 4,000 entries from amateur and professional photographers from 66 countries compete in nine main categories and two special categories.

The works that have made it to the final stage have been published by the judges and include the top 29 images of amazing phenomena in the universe.

The organizers have announced that the final winners of the competition will be announced on September 17th, with the grand prize winner receiving a prize of £10,000.

The winning works of this competition will also be put on public display at the National Maritime Museum of England from the day after the results are announced.
