17 injured in stampede of soccer fans in Mexico

During the celebration of the Mexican national team’s victory over the Czech Republic, a car drove into the crowd in the town of Cabusaño, injuring at least 17 people.

According to local authorities, the driver intended to cross the blocked street but instead of waiting for the road to open, he tried to drive through the crowd.

According to reports, after a number of fans surrounded and attacked his car, the driver ran over several people with his car, injuring them. Security authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
