Afghanistan ranked last in the global children’s rights index
A Dutch foundation that advocates for children’s rights has ranked Afghanistan 194th out of 194 countries in the world in the 2026 Child Rights Index report, and has identified it as the country with the weakest status in terms of respecting children’s rights.
Based on this report, Afghanistan has achieved the lowest position among the countries surveyed, with a score of 0.214.
In this ranking, Pakistan is ranked 149th and Iran is ranked 86th, while Luxembourg has taken first place.
Every year, this foundation evaluates and publishes the status of children’s rights in countries around the world by examining indicators such as health, education, protection, and children’s living environment.
