In a joint statement by Qatar and Pakistan regarding the end of the Burgenstock summit in Switzerland, it was announced that the high-level meeting of negotiations under the framework of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, attended by representatives of Iran, the United States, and two mediator countries, had concluded.

Based on this understanding, the parties have agreed to establish a high-ranking committee for political oversight of the mediation process, and working groups will also be formed in the areas of nuclear sanctions and dispute resolution.

The statement said the High-Level Committee agreed on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days, paving the way for the immediate start of technical negotiations.

A direct line of communication has also been established between the parties to prevent misunderstandings and manage potential incidents, a measure aimed at ensuring the safe passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

In conclusion, it was emphasized that this meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere and that progress was made in establishing a technical negotiation mechanism.
