Iran-US talks in Switzerland canceled, Trump vice president’s trip also canceled

Western media outlets have reported, citing the Swiss Foreign Ministry, that the Iran-US talks that were scheduled to be held in Switzerland on Friday will not take place.

The White House had previously announced that US Vice President Jeddah Vance had canceled his trip to Switzerland to sign a memorandum of understanding with Iran.

Despite the cancellation of the trip, the White House has emphasized that Washington still hopes that technical negotiations with Tehran will begin as soon as possible.

According to reports, Iran and the United States had previously signed a memorandum of understanding remotely, the aim of which was to end military conflicts.
