US Senate fails to limit Trump’s war powers

On Wednesday morning (17th of June ), the United States Senate narrowly rejected Donald Trump’s plan to reduce his war powers and halt any military action against Iran without formal congressional authorization.

According to reports, the bill failed to pass with 48 votes against and 47 in favor, and as a result, the attempt to limit the US president’s authority to launch military operations failed.

This is the ninth attempt by the Democrats since the beginning of the conflicts and military tensions between the United States, the Zionist regime, and Iran last year.

Democrats have emphasized that despite recent progress in the path of understanding between Tehran and Washington, preventing unilateral military actions and limiting the president’s war powers must be pursued in a radical manner.
