Reuters: Iran-US memorandum includes establishment of $300 billion investment fund

Reuters reported that the memorandum of understanding between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States includes a plan to create an investment fund worth $300 billion to support Iran’s economy.

According to the report, the fund will be launched after the signing of the final agreement, and companies from the United States, the Gulf countries, Asia, South America, and Africa have committed to investing in it.

It is said that the fund’s investments will be made in the energy, transportation, logistics, industrial production, and infrastructure development sectors.

If implemented, this $300 billion investment plan could be considered one of the largest economic support programs in Iran’s contemporary history and play an important role in developing infrastructure projects to increase production and economic growth in the country.
