Russia announces massive attack on Ukrainian military and industrial targets
The Russian Defense Ministry has announced that in response to the Ukrainian attacks, the country’s military has carried out a large-scale operation against military and industrial targets on Ukrainian territory.
According to the ministry, defense industry facilities in the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, as well as military airfields and the Trans-Baltic transport complex, were among the targets of these attacks.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian media reported, citing the mayor of Kiev, that following the attacks, a fire broke out at the historic Kiev Pechersk Lavra monastery and the Assumption Cathedral was also damaged.
Ukrainian officials have also announced that five emergency service workers have been killed and at least 19 others injured as a result of recent Russian attacks.
The war between Russia and Ukraine continues, with both sides accusing each other of carrying out widespread attacks and inflicting heavy casualties.
