Trump: I don’t want Lebanon to be part of a possible deal with Iran

US President Donald Trump announced in an interview with NBC News that he does not want Lebanon to be part of any possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.

Trump, rejecting the possibility of offering early concessions to Iran, emphasized that the United States will not reduce or lift sanctions imposed on Iran before reaching a final agreement.

He also claimed that negotiations between the parties have reached a critical stage and the two sides are close to reaching a final agreement, but the talks have not yet ended.

The US President added that the policy of “maximum pressure on Tehran remains Washington’s top priority, and its stated goal is to prevent the advancement of Iran’s nuclear program.”

Trump also stated that he wants to include more mechanisms in any potential agreement to prevent Iran from circumventing its commitments.
