Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali announced the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the nuclear energy sector and said that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is operational and the construction of its second and third units is ongoing.
He added that the large Hormuz power plant project is also underway, and Iran and Russia have signed a memorandum of understanding worth $25 billion in the nuclear energy sector in 2025.
According to Jalali, this plan is Iran’s largest nuclear project, which is being implemented with the participation of the Iranian private sector and the cooperation of Rosatom.
