UN Security Council holds special meeting on Afghanistan
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced that the United Nations Security Council will hold a meeting on Monday (June 8) to review the situation in Afghanistan.
UNAMA has not yet provided details about the agenda and main topics of the meeting.
According to the organization’s announcement, the Security Council is also scheduled to hold another meeting on June 16 to discuss the extension of the UNAMA mission in Afghanistan.
It is expected that the political, security, humanitarian situation, and UN activities in Afghanistan will be discussed and reviewed during these meetings.
